My approach to coaching is simple: consistency and fundamentals matter more than extreme plans or overcomplicated methods. I specialize in helping people move better and get out of pain — even after physical therapy hasn’t worked — by treating each client like a puzzle and building the right solution for them.

You don’t need to live close to train with us. Online coaching through Lifting Standards is run through our own coaching app, built to give you structure, accountability, and clear direction—without feeling overwhelming.
Inside the app, you’ll get customized programming based on your goals and equipment, weekly check-ins to make sure you’re progressing, and direct communication so adjustments happen when they need to—not months later. Nutrition is handled the same way, with clear goals, simple tracking, grocery lists, and preset meal options to make consistency easier in real life.
Whether you’re training at home, in a commercial gym, or on the road, the goal stays the same: remove guesswork, keep things simple, and help you make steady progress without burning out.

Absolutely not. This is one of the most common things people tell themselves to avoid coming in and getting the help they actually need. The thought is usually, “I should do it myself first,” or “I’ll get started on my own and then come in.”
The problem is that starting without a foundation usually means guessing, bouncing between ideas, and spinning your wheels. Having a coach who knows the process, the shortcuts, and the mistakes to avoid gives you a much better starting point—and usually gets you results faster and more safely than trying to piece it together on your own.
This is a private training facility only—there is no open gym. You’re not waiting 20–30 minutes for a machine or hoping a squat rack opens up.
At most, there are usually only one to three people being trained in the space at a time, and most sessions are one-on-one. The environment is calm, focused, and built around you actually getting work done—not fighting for equipment.
The biggest difference is that you have an actual coach checking in on you. A spreadsheet can’t tell you if you’re lifting too light, skipping check-ins, or missing your nutrition targets.
With online coaching, you have direct access to a coach for questions, form feedback, and adjustments throughout the week. Your program isn’t set in stone either—if something stops working or you get bored, it gets changed. The goal is progress, not blindly following a plan for months at a time.
This is another mental roadblock a lot of people run into—and it’s not true. You don’t need much at all.
Even with just a couple pairs of dumbbells and some bands, you can get in very solid workouts. If you decide later that you want to add more equipment or train in a different environment, your program can evolve with that. Nothing is locked in.
